Why did you become a member of the International Atlantic Economic Society?
The IAES is a truly international society with a long tradition and a good mix of distinguished and junior scholars. Also, very remarkable researchers have served as presidents of the society previously.
What types of projects/research are you currently working on and what inspired/motivated you to pursue these interests?
I am very much concerned with three topics which are separated but loosely interrelated: (i) history of economic thought and methodology, (ii.) investigations into economic and social structures of labor market profiles and occupations with a special emphasis on self-employment, and (iii.) reflections on the nature of markets, competition and entrepreneurship. The items are very necessary to understand dynamics of capitalism.
What advice would you give to someone who is considering entering your line of work/field of study?
(S)he must learn to think out of the box.
Going forward, what other projects/research are you looking to or hoping to pursue?
My research also includes principles of entrepreneurship and consumption behavior, lifestyles and how different social preferences come about.
What’s your favorite hobby?
I have a couple of different interests but I am mostly passionate about horseback riding and everything related to horses.
