Why did you become a member of the International Atlantic Economic Society?
International Atlantic Economic Society has been an exclusive club. In addition being a member of the Society gives some benefits such as lower conference and publishing fees.
What do you find most enjoyable about your International Atlantic Economic Society Membership?:
In my opinion the “membership feeling” mostly appears during the International Atlantic Economic Society elections when we realize how many well-known economists are involved. I also like to pay reduced conference and publishing fees and have unlimited access to the IAES journals.
What types of projects/research are you working on and what sparked your interest?
My current research interests are focused on Disparities on Labor Market, Financial Markets, Applied Econometrics, and Multidimensional Statistical Analysis. Both research subjects seem to be the most important in social sciences while statistical and econometric methods are the adequate tools, which I use in my investigation.
What advice would you give to someone who is considering entering your line of work or field of study?
Social sciences require not only theoretical knowledge but also empirical experience. Thus it is necessary to investigate real phenomena, objects, and systems, to describe and recognize their mechanisms. It also needs quite a lot of time to understand what other researchers already done, and what questions remain unsolved.
Favorite hobby:
Traveling, meeting people, collecting “old fashion” items and pieces of art.
