The 90th International Atlantic Economic Conference was held virtually 15-18 October 2020. To continue the pursuit of presenting and dissecting academic economic research while adhering to safety restrictions, the International Atlantic Society has moved to a virtual conference.
The mission of the conference is to create a platform where economists and finance experts from academe, government, and the private sector can present their research results, exchange ideas and network in a collegial environment. Meetings also provide opportunities for participants to renew acquaintances and to forge new ones. Distinguished delegates from around the world gather to present, discuss, and exchange valuable information in the fields of economics, business and finance. Participants share drafts of their research with their session colleagues 30 days in advance of the meeting to facilitate dialogue at the conference.
We held a plethora of sessions, including a Plenary Panel on “The Changes to the U.S. Dollar”, Workshops on Machine Learning; and the Consumer Expenditure Survey. These sessions can be accessed and viewed by attendees of the conference Here.
We took part in this opportunity to gain international insight and perspective in the comfort of our own homes. The conference also helped attendees stay up to date on research associated with their fields. We were glad to see you in October!
